I am thrilled with the opportunity to consider your writing for Fit American Families. I welcome unsolicited articles that share the same passion and support our mission to create a healthy lifestyle within our families and to shift our culture in America.
The best defense against the decline of Americans health starts at the home front.

My mission at Fit American Families is to inspire and motivate parents to create their own unique family culture that cultivates proper nutrition, being physically active as a family and making the most of your time together.

Topics to consider when writing:


You know that surge of energy you receive when you hear your favorite song? That’s how we want our readers to feel when they read your article!  We want to inspire and invite our readers to move into new perspectives or to become motivated to live healthier. We are looking for articles that entertain, inspire and make families want to stand up and cheer because they too believe they can make healthier changes in their family… because there is hope for every family in this beautiful country of ours to live healthier and to eliminate preventable diseases.   We love articles that are challenging and from the heart, lots of genuine emotion with supportive research, information or references, think of your story as a performance and Fit American Families is your stage! We are looking for superstars who write sensational stories that make families fall in love with your story.

 Guest Post Guidelines and Submissions

Fit American Families has specific guidelines relating to content and style, so please read each heading thoroughly to understand our mission and the style of content we are looking for in a guest post. If you have questions you may contact Kim@FitAmericanFamilies.com

• Each submission must contain a photo. The photo’s must be no larger than 300 pixels wide. The photo must be credited with an appropriate source, and must be legal to use. Be sure you include the hyperlink to the photo source so we know where to credit it. Multiple photos are great if your article is longer. The Creative Commons area of Flickr is a good place to search for photos, though we prefer high-quality photos of your own.

• Post length should be approximately 300 – 800 words. If you would be interested in writing a series of articles, please let us know.

• Guest posts must be of fit into one of the categories represented on each channel.

• The tone of your post should be entertaining, exciting, motivating, knowledgeable, yet still informal and family-friendly. Keep in mind that readers come from a variety of perspectives, faiths, and backgrounds.

• All posts should come from personal experience. The best articles are the one that give our readers that "aha" moment.

• Posts with bullet points are the most popular. Bullet points keep articles to-the-point and easy to read.

• Links back to your own blog or site should be modest and fit the content of your post. We would appreciate the opportunity for you to post our site on your website and social media pages too.

• Posts end with a brief author’s bio that links to the site (or sites) of the author’s choice.

•  You retain the copyright to your writing, but once it’s submitted to Fit American Families, we reserve the right to use and refer to it.
